Located in the once-upon-a-time desert lands of the UAE, resides the rooftop empire of White Dubai. As part of Meydan’s horse racing grandstand rooftop, it comes with stunning views of the city skyline. The recently refurbished outdoor space tailors all its bespoke production and visuals to transform the space for each and every party, and right now the club is running a host of in-house club concepts. Bizaaar on Thursdays is where you can find a mix of genres played by residents, and head down to the club on a Friday night for music from international house and tech-house stars like Claptone and Dubfire. Hip-hop event URBN on Saturdays has won awards, with beats being juggled by regulars DJ Masterminds, Danny Neville & Devon Kosoko. Also expect to see global superstars like Jason Derulo, Rita Ora, Sean Paul, Tinie Tempah and Wiz Khalifa as common affair, performing on a stage that is transformed especially for each show. You can even walk away with your very own official merchandise if you so desire. We hear on the grapevine that there are plans to expand; so look out for the White experience coming to a city near you soon.
This sky-high, tech-savvy, shiny, futuristic rooftop venue can boast of a list of main players as long as your arm, from Armin van Buuren to Nervo, that have played there recently. And top dogs from the R&B and hip-hop world also head directly to this multi-levelled, palatial playground. In the past 12 months they've introduced a weekly EDM event on Thursdays called White Noise, where the DJ booth morphs centre stage into the middle of the club. Wow factor projection mapped video content sets the scene, dancers defy gravity from zip lines and there's plenty of laser and smoke effects action going on.
White are super proud of their resident DJs, and rightly so. DJAD, Devon Kosoko and Danny Neville, and Anthony Bassoulou are the constants on the Middle Eastern DJ circuit, furnishing the scene and cosying-up the dancefloor each and every week. Over the coming months you should keep 'em peeled for some White Experience Pop Ups in other decadent destinations — Ibiza, Hong Kong, Barcelona, Monaco and India — because dancing under the stars is one of their specialities and it's only fair to share.
Three years ago White Club was an empty hotel rooftop, and now it is one of the finest spaces to party in all the world according to you lot. Featuring just one vast room of sleek, high-tech design and ultra-modern decor, it also has an outdoor rooftop terrace that is much loved in the city and allows dancing under the stars.
Several platforms of various heights and lengths create different seating areas and vast CO2 cannons and a great lighting rig all help make the place bump each weekend when promotions like White and URBN take care of things. New for the last 12 months were extra screens, lights and lasers as well as a brand new Funktion One sound system, making this place the ultimate destination for “upscale party-goers”.
Bookings-wise, the club focusses on the big and shiny end of the house and dance spectrum, whilst also touching on grime, hip-hop and r&b. As such you can expect the likes of Laidback Luke, Tinnie Tempah, Dannic and Dimitri Viegas & Like Mike to all pass by on the reg. Various local residents, free drinks for ladies and various live extras all make this a glossy party paradise.
