An Instagram account is turning your favourite DJs into food, with hilarious, punny names to match.
Originally created as a Tumblr page in 2013, DJs You Can Eat posts funny images using the faces and images of popular house, techno and electronic DJs Photoshopped over pictures of common, everyday food, with their artist names inspiring their reimagined food alter egos. (Skrillex = Skrilleggs, Roman Flügel = Ramen Flügel, Tale Of Us = Kale Of Us.) The account went dormant in 2014, but after a short hiatus, almost exactly four years to the day, DJs You Can Eat recently returned online last month, with a new Instagram account to match.
DJs You Can Eat caught fire when it resurfaced last weekend as Peggy Gou shared her own Eggy Gou avatar on her official Instagram page.
In addition to the Tumblr and Instagram pages, there is also an official Facebook page. The website also sells custom T-shirts, which feature some of its best images printed on the tops.
DJs You Can Eat was created by independent art and design studio CCGW, whose clients include Ministry Of Sound, RAM Records, XOYO and other companies in the electronic space and beyond.
