Maceo Plex has remixed the Bladerunner theme tune

Maceo Plex’s productions under his various guises have always had a strong science fiction edge to them — so it’ll come as no surprise that the Barcelona-based producer has remixed the Bladerunner theme song.

The track was premiered on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show and sees Eric Estornell delivering a spine-tingling remix that keeps the film’s iconic hook largely intact.

The original theme song was produced by Greek legend Vangelis and is widely regarded as one of the most iconic film scores from the ‘80s.

Maceo Plex will be performing under his Mariel Ito alias for an R&S Records party at EGG LDN on 21st July, it has been announced.
