MYLO BOUNCES BACK!

Scottish DJ/producer joins Big Beach Ball line-up

Mylo, the DJ/producer who made a huge mark when he burst onto the scene a decade ago with his 'Destroy Rock & Roll' album, has just been announced as joining the line-up for the Big Beach Ball in Aberdeen on Sunday 4th May.

The Scottish artist has been somewhat quiet in recent years, with gigs and releases few and far between, but it appears that he's now bouncing back.

Mylo joins an already strong bill for the one-day event. Kerri Chandler, Green Velvet as Cajmere, Optimo, Silicone Soul and Dillinja are among the DJs playing indoor and outdoor arenas at the event.

The impact Mylo made with his debut album cannot be under-emphasised. DJ Mag immediately put the then-unknown artist on the cover, smashing up a guitar, and tracks like 'Drop The Pressure' and 'In My Arms' rocked thew floors and smashed into the UK charts.

His biggest hit back then was 'Dr Pressure', a mash-up of his 'Drop The Pressure' with Miami Sound Machine's 'Dr Beat' from the 1980s. It reached No.3 in the UK charts.

Mylo, aka Myles MacInnes, reportedly suffered with tinnitus in the late noughties, limiting his DJ shows, but he seems to be making his way back into the zone now. Let's hope so.
