The organisers of Coachella have announced a new dance music stage for this year's festival called Quasar.

Revealed on social media earlier this week, the will showcase three-hour DJ sets during both weekends of Coachella: 12th to 14th April and 19th to 21st April. Presented by Goldenvoice, the stage will also boast "two monolithic LED walls" and will be located adjacent to the Eldorado Polo Club.

Confirmed sets for the stage include Honey Dijon and Green Velvet on April 12th, Michael Bibi the following day, and Jamie XX, Floating Points, and Daphni closing off on Sunday.

The following weekend will feature a DJ set from RÜFÜS DU SOL on April 19th, a sunset set by Eric Prydz and Anyma on April 20th, and Diplo and Mau P concluding stage’s inaugural festival on April 21st.

The unveiling of Quasar comes in the wake of alterations to the iconic Sahara stage, which is undergoing a change in size and location – now placed between Avenue 51 and Polo Road.

In addition to the new stage, the California festival will also see performances from Charlotte de Witte, Justice, Steve Angello, DJ Snake, Dom Dolla, and more.

Weekend One passes are sold out, but tickets for Weekend Two are still available. For ticket purchases and further information, visit the festival’s official website here.
