Premiere: Man Power ‘Heart For Yes. Like For No’

Me Me Me label boss Man Power returns to Correspondant Records for his most exhilarating work to date. ‘Heart For Yes. Like For No’ is a dizzying, arpeggiated anthem to send dancefloors into a frenzy...

Man Power AKA Geoff Kirkwood has been gradually carving a name for himself as one of house music’s most prolific names. Based in Mexico but hailing from North East England, he has spent the past number of years building a reputation as a producer of intoxicating electronics from downtempo balearic wobblers to hectic, flamboyant house.

And it’s those styles that he has championed through his fast-rising Me Me Me imprint, clocking releases from the likes of Red Axes, DJ Tennis, Rex The Dog and more.

Now though, Kirkwood makes his return to Correspondant Records, the label which launched him into the scene and released his debut LP.

The new three-track EP ‘Souvenirs’, set for release on Friday 22nd June, stands as Man Power’s most exhilarating work to date. The EP opens with the epic 13-minute trip ‘The Zen of Xen parts I & II (feat Xen)’, which is the most sprawling, ambitious cut the producer has release.

By contrast, ‘Heart For Yes. Like For No’ – premiering below – is a much more concise, immediate affair. Fast-paced, propulsive and dizzying, the track is an arpeggiated anthem tailor made send dancefloors into a frenzy.
