Dharma is set to release a new EP, ‘Electric Stress’, later this week via Remmah Records. Have an exclusive first listen to the title track below.

Almost exactly a year on from the release of his ‘Professional Laptop Conductor’ EP for Man Power’s Me Me Me label, the Sunderland-born, London-based artist returns with its bright and breaksy successor. The three-track project will find a home on Hammer’s Remmah Records – alongside recent releases from FILM, KILAMANJARO, and Sonic Juncture  – and boasts a similar concoction of chunky beats meets ravey chords.

On title track, ‘Electric Stress’, the North Eastern producer layers dancing arps over his trademark dense kicks and vocal trills for a club workout that hits the feet as well as the feels. Things get psychedelic on A2 ‘Caffeine Surfing’, a mutant club workout built around a perfect ratio of swirling synths to fizzing FX, before the visceral ‘Turbulence’ brings things to a close with a joyous meld of cut-up breakbeat NRG and classic house warmth.

The EP kicks off a year of big moves for the Remmah debutant, who also has releases for Anjunadeep and Maceo Plex’s Lone Romantic imprint on the horizon.

‘Electric Stress’ is out 23rd February via Remmah Records. Pre-order the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to the title track below.
