Premiere: Drua ‘Leisureplex’

Dublin’s Drua debuts on Spray with two cuts of blissed-out, trance-tuned techno and a slamming remix from Mor Elian

Premiere: Drua ‘Leisureplex’

Dublin DJ and producer Drua is next up on Spray’s eponymous label with the Leisureplex EP. Hear the title track below.

Marking the second EP on Berlin-based, Sligo-born DJ’s label – after last year’s reissue of Dimension 23’s 1997 rave slammer ‘I.M.O.K. R.U.O.K.’ –  the two original cuts on ‘Leisureplex’ are finely wired to the euphoric, ‘90s trance and progressive house tuned sound he’s been playing out, and introduces Drua as a producer to be reckoned with a knack for saucer-eyed bangers.

Fever AM co-founder Mor Elian offers up a remix of the title track too, chopping into a heads-down, tripped-out techno shape with an emphasis on percussion.

The release also signals a new chapter for Spray, who formerly DJ’d and produced as one half of Brame & Hamo. The duo announced their split to prioritise individual projects earlier this summer, with Spray set to focus his attentions on the label as well as DJing.

‘Leisureplex’ will be released on 9th September. Pre-order it here
