Premiere: Jack Junior & Oblongar ‘Here I Am’
UKG label Steppers Club goes global this month with collaborative EPs alongside Bubble UKG, Fantastic Voyage, SPRAYBOX and Krunk Kulture
UK garage label Steppers Club is going global this month with the release of four EPs in collaboration with imprints from Australia, USA, Japan and India.
Each release in the series encompasses two tracks, including collaborative tracks between a Steppers Club artist and artists affiliated with one of the other imprints, namely Bubble UKG (Aus), Fantastic Voyage (USA), SPRAYBOX (Japan) and Krunk Kulture (India).
The ‘Steppers Globe’ series seeks to illuminate the international evolution of UKG, and the artists and labels spearheading it around the world. The first release in the series, in collaboration with Melbourne’s Bubble UKG, landed and 6th January, and features collabs between UK producer Gemi, who released the ‘Just Curious’ EP via Steppers in April 2022, Bubble founder Tuff Trax. On the B-Side, Melbourne’s IsGwan goes solo with ‘Cool Down’.
On 13th January, Steppers’ EP alongside Justin Jay’s Fantastic Voyage label will be released, featuring collaborative tracks from Minista & Danny Goliger and Yemi & Edward White. On 20th January, the EP with Tokyo-based label SPRAYBOX arrives, whose UK bass and garage-inspired releases have been picked up by artists including DJ EZ, Sharda and Bklava. The release features tracks from UK producer Jack Junior alongside SPRAYBOX co-founder Oblonger, and Sam Deeley with That Fancy I.

The series concludes on 27th January with an EP alongside Mumbai’s Krunk Kulture, who featured as one of DJ Mag’s labels to watch in 2021. That EP features tracks from Zefer & Moebius and YNZN.P & Kaisui.
Every Friday throughout January at , Steppers Club will host a special broadcast on Reprezent Radio featuring link ups and mixes with the other labels in the series. On 11th February, there will be a party celebrating Steppers Globe in Basing House, Shoreditch, London, featuring sets from Hans Glader, Kaisui, Minista, Prozak, Sam Deeley and Zefer Zofia.
