Pan-Pot will release their first LP in eight years, ‘FORTE’, next month on their Second State label. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘EON’ below.

The 10-track album, out 17th November, finds the German duo innovating around the big-room techno sound they’ve become known for in the later stages of their 20-year career. Emulating the dynamic DJ sets that have seen them garner global acclaim, ‘FORTE’ slinks from steamrolling techno into more experimental zones, with singles dropping every fortnight from July to November.

The latest to surface is “spooky techno jam”, ‘EON’, which falls into the more eccentric margins of the Pan-Pot catalogue. Oscillating grooves and compact, industrial percussion interfuse with some seriously eerie sound design for one of the LP’s most forward-thinking cuts.

Elsewhere, ‘PROTO (ft. Huge Betcha)’ borrows the menacing vocal from OG Pan-Pot banger, ‘Charly’, released on Mobilee back in 2007, while ‘BOND’ winds down the BPM for some cerebral techno wobble. Not to worry dancefloor warriors, ‘FUTURA’, ‘EVOLUTION’, and the unreleased ‘CODA’, are slabs of tantalising, pitch-black techno formulated for the club.

It’s a testament to Pan-Pot’s dedication to innovation that, 20 years into their career, the duo are still finding new and exciting ways to move bodies around the dancefloor.
