Munich’s Polygonia weaves ASMR-like textures around inventive techno rhythms for her debut on Bambounou's Bambe label
Polygonia will release a new EP, ‘Otro Mundo’, via Bambounou's Bambe label next month. Listen to ‘Implosion Of The Known’ below.
The Munich-based DJ and producer serves up five properly brain-tickling cuts here, stitching an array of ASMR-like textures into a tapestry of hallucinatory rhythm. The opening title track layers silky vocal harmonies over a slow and skeletal beat, while ‘Mind Alteration’ dips Robert Hood’s rolling minimal techno into a psychedelic bubble bath.
‘Implosion Of The Known’ maintains this trippy timbre, while the EP’s final tracks conjure the hyperkinetic pulses of Rhyw, Barker and the Nyege Nyege Tapes catalogue. All in all, it’s just wildly inventive electronic music.
