Rachiid Paralyzing will release the first of two new EPs, ‘Mega Tempo Pt. I’, via Artificio later this month. Listen exclusively to ‘Sudor (Jackson Mix)’ below.

After getting a taste for the label’s experimental wiles via a link-up with Chile’s Rasgar earlier this year (hear: ‘Múltiples’), Colombia’s Rachiid Paralyzing returns to Artificio with a new two-part project flaunting the full spectrum of his ‘maximalist dance’ sound.

The first instalment, arriving 29th September, features three protean club cuts enmeshed with the strands of broken techno, breaks, and IDM, along with traditional percussive sounds. Opener ‘Sudor (Jackson Mix)’ boots up with a restless tension that circulates throughout the project, its gun-shot synths and hyperactive polyrhythms fortified for any dancefloor, while the rave-tinged ‘Ninja’ marries hi-tek funk grooves with some seriously breathless breaks.

Living up to its name, ‘Mega Tempo’ surges onwards in a blaze of babbling electronics, sub growls, and intricate rhythms, as the producer and DJ pays homage to all of his influences, seemingly at once. As the first of two killer volumes, one could only predict what Rachiid Paralyzing might be keeping in the tank.

‘Mega Tempo Pt. I’ is out 29th September via Artificio. The EP available to pre-order here. Listen exclusively to ‘Sudor (Jackson Mix)’ below.
