Voigtmann will release his sophomore album, ‘Life Miles’, next week via 20/20 Vision Recordings. Listen exclusively to ‘Lowrider’ below.

The nine-track LP, out 27th November, was crafted by the London-based DJ and producer over a three year period and is designed to be listened to in one continuous sitting. Building on the minimalist textures and sinuous rhythms of his debut record, 2020’s ‘Sublunary’, Voigtmann’s second full-length interposes lower-tempo dub and ambient compositions, alongside more club-ready tracks that will slide perfectly into Voigtmann’s peak time sets.

From the supple, stripped-back techno of opener, ‘Pinfire’ – complete with elegant synth swoops and an elastic low-end – to the big-room bass stabs and pedantic drum programming of closer ‘North Of The Sun’, the LP is testament to the producer’s meticulous craftmanship. Slinky tech roller ‘Lowrider’ lands at the centre of the project, repping Voigtmann’s dancefloor pedigree, before ‘Send Love To The Future’ and ‘Headlong’ melt into one another like a heated, ambient embrace.

Consistently innovative across tempo and genre faultlines, ‘Life Miles’ represents a shedding of expectations for the underground stalwart as he embraces a new era in his artistic evolution.

Voigtmann recently contributed to Pleasure Club’s new Members Only series, as well as releasing an EP in collaboration with Thoma Bulwer and Dexter Kane.
