Yant will release a new EP, ‘Broken Strings’, via Neighbourhood later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘The Stunter’ below.

Coming off the back of releases for imprints including Jay Clarke’s Blackaxon, German institution SK_Eleven, and Hardgroove, the Manchester-based producer debuts on Neighbourhood with a propulsive new four-tracker. The music on ‘Broken Strings’ – out 8th March – veers from the hypnotic to the hallucinatory, merging raw, industrial and abstract techno sounds with sizzling, acid-dipped glitches and mind-warping FX.

From the hypnotic gallop and squelchy textures of title track ‘Broken Strings’, to the big-room-ready rumble of ‘The Stunter’ and dark dystopian rhythms of ‘Lost Hours’, this is a release pitched towards the most serious of dancefloors.

The four-tracker builds on the thunderous techno bearings and intrepid sound design of Yant’s October EP, ‘The Raum’, released through SK_Eleven, as well as his February single, ‘Moving’, which features on Vault Sessions Collective’s new V/A compilation. Catch the Mancunian performing at Lisbon’s Ministerium Club next month, alongside Saime, LAURA and Reckless Device – tickets are available here.

‘Broken Strings’ is out 8th March via Neighbourhood. Pre-order the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘The Stunter’ below.
