Meet the DJs and producers who picked up awards in 2016’s Top 100 DJs poll.

MARTIN GARRIX - THE WORLD’S NO.1 DJ

The prodigious Dutch star became the youngest ever Top 100 DJs winner, having shot to prominence off the back of his 2013 No.1 hit ‘Animals’.

ARMIN VAN BUUREN - HIGHEST TRANCE DJ

Armin Van Buuren has had more Top 100 DJs No.1 positions than any other DJ. Although he's no longer in the top spot, there is no doubting his position as the king of trance.

OLIVER HELDENS - HIGHEST HOUSE DJ

Future house maverick, Oliver Heldens, once again takes the title for the Highest House DJ. The Dutchman is at the forefront of a new sound that is making waves across the planet.

SKRILLEX - HIGHEST BASS MUSIC DJ

Skrillex is quite unlike any other DJ in the poll. He remains hugely popular despite playing a vastly different sound to most of his contemporaries. A true visionary and incredible performer, Skrillex is the rightful champion of bass music.

KSHMR - HIGHEST LIVE ACT

KSHMR’s ascent to dance music’s top table is nothing short of incredible. The producer had only played one live show when he debuted in 2015. Twelve months later, he is the highest ranked live act.

MARSHMELLO - HIGHEST NEW ENTRY

Not since the rise of Deadmau5 has there been a DJ who polarises the dance music audience as much as Marshmello. Yet there can be no doubting the DJ and producer’s vast popularity. He debuted in the poll at No.28, bagging the Highest New Entry award in the process.

CARL COX - HIGHEST TECHNO DJ

Techno is largely underrepresented in the poll, due to the global popularity of the more commercial genres like EDM and trance. However Carl Cox, the first ever winner of Top 100 DJs, is a constant, welcome presence.

SWANKY TUNES - HIGHEST CLIMBER

It was a huge, breakthrough year for, Russian trio, Swanky Tunes who climbed an incredible 70 places to win the Highest Climber award.

NETSKY - HIGHEST DRUM & BASS DJ

Netsky retains his title as the highest Drum & Bass DJ. The Belgian’s high energy, melodic D&B sound once again winning over Top 100 DJs voters.

ANGERFIST - HIGHEST HARD DJ

After dropping his fifth full-length effort ‘Raise & Revolt’ last year, Angerfist spent 2016 on the road, bringing the hardest of the hard to his devoted fans – an endeavour which has delivered him the award for the Highest Hard DJ.
