Premiere: Yilan ‘Diaspora’

Birmingham’s Yilan is next up on Ganesa’s Jelly Bean Farm with a ferocious five tracker, ‘Diaspora’.

The Californian label – whose past releases also include recent DJ Mag Fresh Kicks selector Krotone – has been doing a fine job of bringing the burgeoning sound of UK techno, with all its warped bass grooves and rattling percussion, to a North American audience. Yilan’s latest is another fiery offering for the imprint, full of clattering drums and swerving bass manoeuvres spanning a range of BPMs and dynamics.
