The East-London queer party returns for the first time since lockdowns began

Fiasco! party London

East-London queer party Fiasco! returns this month with a party in Pickle Factory, featuring sets from Amaliah, Club Fitness and founder Reece Spooner.

Taking place on Saturday 30th July, it marks event series' first throw down since lockdowns began two years ago. On the night, hosting duties will be handed to multidisciplinary artist Darkwah alongside performances from go-go dancers and drag queens.

The comeback event coincides with London LGBTQI+ festival Body Movements, which Fiasco! is once again involved with following a hugely successful inaugural edition last year.

Prior to the outbreak of Covid-19, Fiasco! enjoyed a lengthy run at Dalston Superstore. Known for its fusion of colourful, heavy-hitting dance music, attendees of this month's party at Pickle Factory can expect a heady mix of ballroom vibes, ghetto house, techno, Jersey club, garage, electro, footwork and more. Tickets for the party are available here

The Queer session's aesthetics and artwork is inspired by gossip magazines of the 1990s and early-2000s, an archive of which can be viewed on the official Instagram page. In addition to the party, Fiasco! is preparing to launch its own label, with Spooner's debut EP set to be released through the imprint in the near future.

Reece Spooner and Amaliah have both recently featured in DJ Mag's monthly Emerging Artists feature. Learn more about the DJs here and here.
