ARTBAT'S set at A State of Trance last year sparked "immense inspiration" for the collaboration

Armin van Buuren and ARTBAT link up on new single

Armin van Buuren has linked up with the ARTBAT to release a new single, ‘Take Off’, via Armada Music. Listen to the new track below.

According to the press release, the collaboration was first sparked last year through a backstage conversation between the trance legend and the Ukrainian duo at his flagship trance festival, A State of Trance. He noted that their set “sparked immense inspiration” and “prompted a lot of ideas.”

“I thought of the 'Space Case' concept and how its theme, spoken word, and trancey stabs would chime in with the unique ARTBAT sound,” van Buuren continued. “This collaboration feels like it's been a long time coming, and I’m thrilled it’s now seeing the light of day.”

Speaking on the release, ARTBAT said: “Collaborating with Armin van Buuren, who is such a legend in the dance game, has been really special. It's been enjoyable to explore and push the boundaries of both our sounds. It’s an honour to have worked alongside such a groundbreaker in his lane.”

‘Take Off’ follows the release of Armin van Buuren’s latest album, ‘Breathe In’. The 12-track album was dropped last month, influenced by the return to dancefloors post-pandemic.

Last year, ARTBAT also linked up with the singer-songwriter and Sweedish House Mafia collaborator, John Martin, to release ‘Coming Home’. You can watch the music video for the single here
