The BBC News theme has been given a drum & bass remix, produced especially for journalist Ros Atkins's recent Glastonbury set.

Originally composed by David Lowe in the late 1990s – a story he recently told here – the high-octane remix by former BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter Crissy Criss was played during Atkins's Saturday afternoon set at the Stonebridge Bar, where he played alongside MC Inja.

Check out the full remix and watch Atkins being interviewed about the set below.

Atkins was joined by Rudimental, Jamz Supernova, Bradley Zero B2B Batu, Daphni, Erol Alkan B2B DJ Paulette, MJ Cole, Yung Singh B2B Moktar, Idris Elba and more on the Stonebridge Bar stage in the Park area this past weekend.

Back in 2022, the BBC journalist, known for his viral news explainer videos on social media, shared that he was a drum & bass DJ in his 20s, inspired by the likes of LTJ BukemRay Keith, DJ Storm, Dillinja, DJ Hype and Kenny Ken.

That same year, he dropped a drum & bass DJ mix for BBC 6 Music’s Desert Island Disco All-Dayer inspired by nights spent at Electric Brixton in South London.
