A new book about the late drum & bass innovator Marcus Intalex is due out later this year.

Written by authors Sherif Dhaimish & Mark O’Donnell, How You Make Me Feel: The Life & Legacy of Marcus Intalex documents the career of the DJ and producer, from his come-up in the Burnley rave scene to his techno-focussed Trevino alias.

Out on 4th October via through Velocity Press, the promises "unprecedented insider access" via interviews with some key names in drum & bass, including Goldie, Calibre, DJ Flight, Doc Scott, Mark XTC and more.

Named after one of Intalex's tracks, How You Make Me Feel: The Life & Legacy of Marcus Intalex is also stacked with over 100 rare photos, artwork, and memorabilia.

“When I first heard ‘How You Make Me Feel’ it confirmed feelings I had about drum & bass and its capacity for beauty in the dance," said Calibre in a statement accompanying the book.

Jenna G added: "Marcus was the beginning of my D&B career - my first release was for Soul:r. He introduced me to Darren & Tunde (Future Cut), and Goldie. He was a really good friend. I miss him a lot."

“Marcus was as impactful on D&B as J Dilla was to hip-hop,” said Goldie.

Pre-order the book before 14th July (which would have been Marcus Intalex's 53rd birthday) and you can have your name printed in your copy as well as receiving it ahead of publication in September. Pick up a copy from Velocity Press here.

Marcus Intalex passed away on 28th May 2017. His final album as Trevino was released in May last year.
