Bklava has shared a new single, ‘It’s Your Time’, and has a new EP on the way, both for Ministry of Sound.
The Brighton-based, Irish-Lebanese artist describes new single, a collaboration with Jamie Boy Bassline, as a "high-energy club-orientated banger lush with a positive lyrical message of female empowerment - encouraging women to have their time and do what they said they wanted to do!" Similarly, her forthcoming 'Khalas' EP – which is due out in summer – deals in club-focussed fare and is "one for peak time dance floors", she says. "It’s about owning your emotions and letting everything go in the rave. I love nothing better than being behind the decks, or in the crowd, and noticing the ravers that are so in the moment, not caring about anything around them. They’ve got their eyes closed, throwing their hands in the air and they are just feeling it! This one’s for that exact moment."
Bklava – who takes her name from her "favourite" middle eastern dessert – released her debut single 'CNTRL' with Wookie in 2019 and her self-titled EP for Ministry of Sound followed in 2020.
