Blawan and Pariah, aka Karenn, have teamed up to form Persher, a new band influenced by punk, hardcore and metal.

Posting on Instagram, London producer Pariah - real name Arthur Cayzer - called the project a "proper labour of love and something that Jamie and I have been talking about doing ever since we first became mates well over a decade ago."

Featuring Blawan on vocals and Pariah on guitar and bass, the duo will release a seven-track, co-produced mini-album under the moniker next month. Released via U.S. indie label Thrill Jockey on 21st October, 'Man With The Magic Soap' will include a full-colour comic by George Addy, who also designed the album's artwork.

Accompanying the announcement is the album's title track. Check it out below.

On Bandcamp, the duo spoke about exploring new territory in the project. “Whilst making the record we tried hard to avoid thinking about how a band, playing in a room, might achieve a certain sound," they wrote. "And instead we used the instruments as source material in an attempt to produce new and interesting sounds that aren’t heard often in this type of music.”
