The BPM Festival in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico was hit by tragedy earlier this week, when gunfire at the event’s Elrow closing party at the Blue Parrot nightclub in the early hours of Monday morning (16th January) left five people dead and 15 injured.

Yesterday it was reported that The BPM Festival will not be held in Playa del Carmen again following the shootings, before Mexican authorities were said to announce that all electronic music festivals would be banned in the city.
