BRIT Awards 2024: Calvin Harris, Little Simz, Fred again.., Peggy Gou, more nominated

Barry Can’t Swim, CASISDEAD, Romy, Young Fathers and PinkPantheress are also among the nominees

The complete list of nominees for the BRIT Awards 2024 has been unveiled.

This year’s ceremony is set to take place on March 2nd at The O2 Arena in London, with the show also being broadcast live on ITV 1. You can see all the nominees in the awards' 13 categories below. 

in the Best Dance Act category, Barry Can’t Swim, Becky Hill, Calvin Harris, Fred again.., and Romy have all been nominated. Calvin Harris has received three nominations in total, one of which is for Song Of The Year, for his trance-inflected single with Ellie Goulding, ‘Miracle’.

Edinburgh-born, London-based Barry Can't Swim also won in Breakthrough Producer category at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards 2023. Fred Again.. was the Highest New Entry in DJ Mag’s top 100 DJs 2023 and has previously collaborated will fellow nominee and member of The xx, Romy, who released the video for her single 'She's On My Mind' starring Maisie Williams last month.

Meanwhile, CASISDEAD, Central Cee, Dave, J Hus, and Little Simz are up for best Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act. Little Simz has claimed three nominations in total, including Album Of The Year for 'No Thank You', which won in the Best Rap Album/Mixtape category at DJ Mag's Best of British Awards 2023

CASISDEAD also received two nominations at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards 2023: one for the best Rap Album/Mixtape and another for the best MC/Vocalist.

Elsewhere, PinkPantheress has been nominated for Song Of The Year with her track 'Boy's A Liar' from her recent debut album 'Heaven Knows', in addition to being nominated for Best New Artist. Young Fathers, who DJ Mag interviewed in 2023, have also been nominated in the Best Album category for 'Heavy, Heavy'

Peggy Gou, who was voted The World’s No.1 House DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs 2023, has received a nomination for International Song Of The Year for her single ‘(It Goes Like) NANANA’, alongside tracks like Billie Eilish’s ‘What Was I Made For?’, Meghan Trainor’s ‘Made You Look’, and Doja Cat’s ‘Paint The Town Red’.

Raye, who linked up with Disclosure to release the UKG track ‘Waterfall’ back in 2022, leads the shortlists with a record-breaking seven nominations. The record, which was previously six, was jointly held by Robbie Williams in 1999, Craig David in 2001, and Gorillaz in 2002. 

Over half of this year's nominees are women, whether as solo artists or as members of female groups, at 55 per cent. This figure increases to 57 per cent when considering women in mixed-gender groups.
