Calvin Harris has said that he believes NFTs can "completely revolutionize the music industry.”

On the Good Time Show on Clubhouse last Sunday (28th), Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris made an appearance, and spoke about the concept of NFTs, and his new NFT collection. The collection – titled TECNHOFISH – dropped via NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway earlier this week, and comprised of five previously unheard pieces of music and five associating digital art pieces by visual artist Emil Nava.

Making the comments in a post on Instagram yesterday, Scottish DJ and producer Harris said that the UK government had "lost sight of what life is about," highlighting the massive contributions the music industry brings to the economy.

UK licensing company PPL, who track radio broadcasts and TV stations in public places, have released their figures for last year, with Calvin Harris serving as the number one most-played track for his collaborative effort 'Giant' alongside Rag N Bone Man.

Behind Harris, Mark Ronson & Miley Cyrus' 'Nothing Breaks Like A Heart' and Sam Smith & Normani's 'Dancing With A Stranger' made up the 2019 top three.

Calvin Harris has announced his debut record for Defected, ‘Live Without Your Love’.

Last month, Defected shared a letter that head honcho Simon Dunmore had penned to Harris in 1999, in response to a demo CD the then 15-year-old Scottish producer had sent to the label.

Now, 21 years later, Harris will make his debut on Defected alongside The Internet's Steve Lacy, with new track 'Live Without Your Love'. 

Calvin Harris has produced a track for Example's new album, 'Some Nights Last For Days'.

The new song, which is also the album title, sees the two artists work together for the first time since 2012, when London rapper Example featured on Harris' album '18 Months'.

Example dropped 'Some Nights Last For Days' last Friday (12th), and the album also features the likes of Doc Brown, P Money, and Professor Green.
