Afrojack, Major Lazer, Calvin Harris, more nominated for MTV’s VMAs

The ceremony will take place 27th August...

Calvin Harris and The Chainsmokers have both been nominated twice for next month's MTV Video Music Awards, which will be taking place in LA on Sunday 27th August.

Harris has been nominated in the 'Best Collaboration' category for his track 'Feels', which features Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and Big Sean, the Scottish super producer has also been nominated in the 'Best Dance Video' category for his track 'My Way'.

The Chainsmokers have been nominated in two categories, too, the duo have been nominated in the 'Best Collaboration' and 'Best Editing' categories for their breakout pop-smash 'Closer' featuring Halsey.

Elsewhere, there are nods for Afrojack, Kygo & Selene Gomez, Major Lazer and Zedd & Alessia Cara in the 'Best Dance Video' category.

The coveted 'Artist of the Year' award will be a battle between Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, Lorde and The Weeknd.

Kendrick Lamar leads the pack overall with 8 nominations in total.

The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards will be held on Sunday 27th August at the Forum in Inglewood, California.
