Jitwam hails from Assam in northeast India, was raised in Australia, and is now based between New York, London, and Sydney. As well as co-founding Chalo – an interdisciplinary creative project with a focus on South Asia and its diaspora – he runs The Jazz Diaries label and has remixed Laraaji, collaborated with Folamour, and had a track on ‘Fabric Presents... Maribou State’ compilation.
In April, Jitwam will play at Dialled In festival at EartH, Hackney alongside Yung Singh, DJ Mag artist to watch for 2022 Mixtress b2b Maleek, NTS resident anu, former Swing Ting partystarter Samrai, Grammy-nominated sitarist and composer Anoushka Shankar and many more.
