Swedish composer Hans Ek has announced that he’s about to release a 17-track compilation that will see him and the 85-strong Norrköping orchestra reimagining some of the dance music’s most iconic tracks.

The compilation, which has been given the name ‘Dance Music Symphony’, features orchestral reworkings of The Chemical Brothers’ ‘Galvanise’, Daft Punk’s iconic ‘Aerodynamic’ and Deadmau5’s ‘Strobe' amongst many others.

The only real disappointment is the inclusion of Ten Walls’ ‘Walking With Elephants’ and Avicii’s ‘Levels’.

Alongside the album’s release, Hans Ek and the 85-strong Norrköping orchestra will debut the tracks at this July's Bråvalla Festival in Sweden.
