Major Lazer and Lorde collab dropped by Diplo on Lazer Sound show: LISTEN

Vybz Kartel also joins the soundclash action

Diplo dropped a new Major Lazer and Lorde collaboration during his Lazer Sound radio show, which went out last weekend.

The taster of the track, which hasn't been named at the time of writing, lasted less than a minute, but should be just enough to whet the appetites of fans hungry for fresh work from both acts. Jamaican vocalist Vybz Kartel also features on the tune, which finds its roots in traditional dancehall sounds, even going so far as to rework the lyrics to reggae legend Yellowman's 1984 classic, 'Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt', all wrapped up in a style that offers more than a little nod to Caribbean soundclash culture.

Diplo, who recently unveiled the five-track ‘Starrah x Diplo’ EP, is keeping tightlipped about the full version, release date, and title. Lorde, the star who narrowly missed out on a MTV Music Video Award last month for Best Artist, isn't giving anything away either, but we're expecting details to start filtering through social media land in due course. Eyes peeled, ears open, then, for the time being have a taste of the teaser below and see if it suits your palate.
