DJ Haram announces ‘Handplay’ EP on Hyperdub, shares single: Listen
The Brooklyn artist returns to Kode9's label with two new tracks, out in December
DJ Haram returns to Hyperdub with a new EP, titled 'Handplay'. Listen to the title track below.
The two-track EP, out 1st December, is the Brooklyn artist's first solo release on Kode9's storied London label since 2019's 'Grace'. The label says the lyrics of 'Handplay' and 'No Funeral' muse on the "contradictions of feminine archetypes", celebrating sex workers and examining toxic relationships.
In between the two Hyperdub releases, DJ Haram self-released the 'Era' EP in 2021.
Last year, DJ Haram and Moor Mother's collaborative project, 700 Bliss, released an LP on Hyperdub called 'Nothing To Declare', featuring the 'Bless Grips' single. It was named DJ Mag's Album of the Month in May 2022.
