DJ Shadow announces new album, ‘Action Adventure’, shares single: Listen

DJ Shadow has announced details of his new album, 'Action Adventure', and shared the first single, 'Ozone Scraper'. Listen to it below. 

Seven months on from confirming its release, the influential Californian DJ and producer has revealed that he will release 'Action Adventure' via Mass Appeal/Liquid Amber on 27th October.

Marking his seventh studio album, it comprises 14 new tracks from the San Jose artist - born Joshua Paul Davis - and comes four years after DJ Shadow's sixth LP, the 23-track double album 'Our Pathetic Age'.

Featuring songs inspired by video store browsing, eBay tape auctions, '50s horror comic book artists and more, it will also arrive 27 years after his landmark debut album 'Endtroducing.....'

Speaking about the album, Davis said: “This is about my relationship to music. My life as a collector and curator. All my records and tapes, and no one else’s. I didn't want to write music that was formatted for vocalists. I wanted to write music that flexed different energies."
