Elektron launches new affordable drum sampler

Elektron have introduced a new affordable drum sampler called Model:Sample. The new unit features six tracks in total and can load samples from online service Splice – users can edit and tweak sounds, or load their own over USB. 

There's 300 presets built in and parameters like filter, LFO, pitch and decay can all be tweaked in real time. They can also be sequenced using Elektron's famous parameter lock feature. There's also a chromatic mode for sequencing basslines and melodic samples. There's no word yet whether the unit will support Elektron's recently updated OverBridge software. 

The Model:Sample is available from February and will cost €460.
