Eliza Rose and Interplanetary Criminal’s ‘B.O.T.A (Baddest Of Them All)’ hits No. 2 in UK charts

Sound of the summer

Eliza Rose

Eliza Rose and Interplanetary Criminal's 'B.O.T.A. (Baddest of Them All)' has hit number two in the UK singles chart.

The track began building momentum earlier this summer, quickly finding favour at festivals and viral popularity on TikTok. It entered the top 10 last week. The tune's Lewis Carroll inspired video, directed by Faboo TV founder Jeanie Crystal, which celebrates the LGBTQ+ performance art and nightlife community of Hackney, London, has amassed over 600,000 views on YouTube.

The single is a collaboration between East London's Rose, who heads up Rosebud Recordings and broadcasts on both Rinse FM and Balamii, and Manchester producer and DJ Interplanetary Criminal — both of whom have recently played DJ Mag HQ sets, which you can check below.

The anthemic track sits just beneath LF System's 'Afraid To Feel' in the charts, which has become the longest-running No.1 dance single of the decade, with six weeks at the top. Beyonce's 'Break My Soul' is at number three, and 'Crazy What Love Can Do' by David Guetta, Becky Hill & Ella Henderson is currently at number five.
