Eliza Rose is due to release a new EP, featuring a collaborative track with MJ Cole.

Out on 24th April via Rosebud Recordings/One House, the four-track ‘Business As Usual’ EP sees Rose meld jazz and soul with UKG to revisit the "pre B.O.T.A. roots of her label, Rosebud Recordings," according to a press release.

The chart-topping 'B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All)' vocalist and DJ has shared the track's first single and title track, a collaborative effort with garage legend MJ Cole that embraces neo-soul and downtempo sounds.

The 'Business As Usual (9-5 mix)' single is accompanied by a Hackney-shot video directed by Jeanie Crystal, which is described as a "visual universe of retro futurism meets Afrofuturism".

"It was an incredible experience to work with MJ Cole," said Rose. "I've admired his talent in production and DJing for such a long time and it was a dream come true for me to collaborate with him on 'Business As Usual.'"

She said she was "amazed" by his versatility "and his approach to creating more of a neo soul-focused track in the studio". "... We were both aligned in wanting to create more of a downtempo song with a UKG flip that would bring back the old-school early 90s vibes."

Cole described working with Rose as a "musical dream packed full of colours, ideas and inspirations". He says the pair "took a different approach with 'Business as Usual'.

"The slower version was meant as a working track to create a song at a slower tempo which would gather energy when injected at a UKG tempo - similar to R&B vocals being sped up within remixes," explained Cole. "We loved the initial track so much we had to release it and I donned my remixing cap to make the UKG version. Eliza really shines in this track - her soul sister roots rising up in a blaze of glory!"

Last year, Rose shared the video for her first-time collaborative single with Calvin Harris, 'Body Moving'.
