UK garage musical, Bangers, set for London's Arcola Theatre
Offering a blend of theatre and gig experience, it will run for three weeks
A musical centred around UK garage is set for a three-week run at London's Arcola Theatre, starting next month.
Written by London-born actress, writer and singer Danusia Samal, Bangers explores love, sex and music, and follows two protagonists as their lives intersect. It stars Samal as Aria and Jim Caesar as Clef. Blending theatre and a gig experience, it includes a live on-stage DJ and narrator played by Tanya-Loretta Dee, as well as a soundtrack of UK garage and R&B music. It will run at Arcola Theatre after sold-out tours of 2023's Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Soho Theatre.
The 70-minute show will kick off at Arcola Theatre on 17th July, and continue through until 10th August. Tickets and more information are available here.
