Ewan McVicar has dropped his new EP, 'Heather Park'. Check it out below.

Marking McVicar's first release for Ninja Tune sub label Technicolour, the two-tracker comprises a title track and 'The Nucienda'. Speaking about the release, the Scottish DJ and producer said the release touched on nostalgic memories of growing up in Kincaidston, Ayr.

“Heather Park is the street I grew up in. I shared a room with my two brothers and we grew a family bond in this house like no other," McVicar said. “Writing 'Heather Park' in my mind was the melody and pulling as much emotion from the pluck as I could."

"With the name being after our first family house, I wanted it to be reminiscent of all the great memories we had there and that's where the thick bass-line, strings and pads come in," he added. Listen below.

The release of 'Heather Park' comes after an impressive couple of years by the young DJ. As well as being nominated in the Breakthrough DJ category at DJ Mag's Best of British Artists in 2020, McVicar scooped DJ Mag's Best of British Track of the Year for 'Tell Me Something Good' last year. The single also was also named BBC Radio 1's Dance Track of the Year.

Back in February, McVicar released an EP, 'Movin' On Over', via Optimo Music Digital Danceforce. In April, he announced a vintage football kit-themed merch drop.
