"The record is about every lover that I've ever had, and every lover that I'm going to have"

FKA twigs has shared the first details of her forthcoming album, which will be titled 'Magdalene'.

In an interview with i-D Magazine, she said that Nicolas Jaar had taken on the role as main producer for her second album, and also added that one track, titled 'Holy Terrain'. featured rapper Future.

"The record is about every lover that I've ever had, and every lover that I'm going to have," she said. "It's really fragile. I made it at a time when I was in recovery—physically and emotionally—and I think that comes through."

The album was recorded between London, New York and Los Angeles over the last three years and follows on from 2014's 'LP1'. Like that record, 'Magdalene' will be released through Young Turks. A tracklist and release date is yet to be announced, but twigs unveiled new single 'Cellophane' earlier this year. You can check that out below.
