Forbes reveals World’s Highest-Paid DJs list for 2017

From Skrilly to Guetta, here’s the DJs that made bank this year…

Forbes has revealed its World’s Highest-Paid DJs list with acts including Calvin Harris, Tiesto and Skrillex (once again) all making the annual ranking.

The respected business magazine has been running the list since 2012, with Calvin Harris coming in at number one for the fifth year straight in 2017 with a whopping $48.5 million in earnings.

Dutch superstar Tiesto comes in second with a cool $39 mil, whilst new entry The Chainsmokers clock in third on $38 million. From there it’s the usual list of EDM headliners, including cake-lover Steve Aoki and chart-topper David Guetta, alongside crossover acts like Zedd and DJ Mag’s very own Top 100 DJs 2016 winner Martin Garrix.

According to Forbes, they tabulated each DJ's earnings from June 2016 to June 2017 for the list, gleaning stats from Nielsen, Pollstar, Bandsintown and Songkick.

The magazine also offers up some light analysis from the stats, including pointing out the obvious lack of diversity (not one woman made this year's rankings) — you can read the full feature from Forbes here
