Four Tet 'Loved'

Four Tet has shared the opening track from his new album. You can listen to 'Loved' below.

Premiered by Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC 6Music yesterday, Wednesday 10th January, the single – a blissful slice of downtempo, piano-led electronica – is now available via all major streaming services. Its accompanying artwork was created by Jason Evans.

Details of the album itself remain scarce, with no confirmed title or release date as yet. We do know Four Tet's own Text Records will release the record. An Instagram story posted by the artist also explained he was now "finishing the artwork and making the vinyl and CDs."

Once here, it will be his first full length solo outing since 2020's LP triptych, 'Parallel', 'Sixteen Oceans', and '871', the latter catalogued under his 00110100 01010100 alias.

News of the LP follows an incredibly busy 2023 in which Four Tet made headlines alongside new sparring partners Skrillex and Fred again.. The trio gave a number of iconic performances together, including Madison Square Garden and Times Square, New York, and a headline slot at Coachella Festival.

In November, Four Tet released the complete recording of his show at London's Alexandra Palace, which took place the preceding May.
