Gorillaz's character Noodle has released a new mix on SoundCloud, featuring only female producers and vocalists.

The 30-minute mix, titled  ‘私 Noodle!’, which translates to ‘Me, Noodle!’, lines up a slew of impressive talent including alt-pop princess Grimes, music tech pioneer Delia Derbyshire and composer Mica Levi, who released a collaborative album with cellist Oliver Coates at the close of 2016.

On the new mix, Noodle writes via her SoundCloud, 'In search of new sounds and new inspiration, I found these kick-ass women who in their own individual ways are true pioneers in the writing, production and creation of MUSIC. They have inspired me, and I hope they inspire you too.'

Gorillaz have been teasing their new album for a number of months, including crafting Instagram accounts for each of the band's fictional characters, leaving cryptic messages on a fake dating website profile, plus telling their origin stories though Twitter Moments.

The release date for the album is still unknown.
