Absolut and Beatport have finalised the line up for #DanceAway2020, this year's biggest online New Year’s Eve showcase - which will be syndicated to DJ Mag's Facebook page.
In a year of great challenges, DanceAway2020 is designed to pay homage to the power of connection and pave the way for a better 2021. Latest additions to the bill include Honey Dijon, who will be performing a stream for the first time since the shutdown, Nicole Moudaber, Patrick Topping, Sydney Blu, BLANCah, MACHÌNA & SEKITOVA and Mendy Indigo.
They join previously announced artists including Carl Cox, TOKiMONSTA, Jamie Jones, Nastia, Jaguar, BLOT!, RayRay, and Jixo & Danz.
The 20 hour broadcast, kicks off before midnight local time in Melbourne, Australia with Carl Cox, ringing in one of the first 2021 New Year’s celebrations. From there, the party will seamlessly bounce through 15+ time zones and cities, including Shanghai, New Delhi, Dubai, Odessa, Berlin, London, Florianópolis, Miami, Calgary and Los Angeles, before finishing up back in Melbourne with a closing set from Carl Cox.
Ahead of NYE, Beatport are hosting a remix competition with a $5,000 prize package, including a personalised bottle from Absolut, a release on the seminal house and garage label, King Street Sounds and a global track premiere during the Beatport x Absolut NYE 2020 Livestream.
To enter, producers need to remix 'President House' by Roland Clark featuring Urban Soul. You can download the stems and acapella via from the Beatport website and have until 18th December to submit your remix.
