Kate Bush reissues full album catalogue on vinyl with new artwork
Her groundbreaking 1985 album 'Hounds of Love' will get two new special editions, out in December
Kate Bush is reissuing her full album catalogue on vinyl with new artwork and designs.
All of Bush's albums will get a fresh pressing with remastered audio from 2018 via her Fish People label. Her groundbreaking 1985 album 'Hounds of Love' will get two new versions, both out on 1st December. The first is 'The Baskerville Edition', designed by Glasgow studio Timorous Beasties, and it'll include a solar-powered flashing LED light.
The second 'Hounds of Love' version is called the 'Boxes of Lost at Sea' with two boxes for each side of the album. "The idea was to create a hybrid of an album and a piece of artwork you could hang on the wall", Kate Bush said in a press statement. The set includes two UV art prints and an LED light. A portion of sales will be donated to War Child.
"In a virtual world where no-one knows what’s real, there are people out there who want to feel the music in their hands", reads a quote by Bush on her website. "I hope you enjoy these reissues. A great deal of care and thought has gone into them".
The reissues of Kate Bush's first three LPs, 'The Kick Inside', 'Lionheart' and 'Never For Ever', will only be available in independent US record stores and via her US website.
Bush released a lyric book titled How To Be Invisible this past April. Some copies contained secret messages in UV ink.
Earlier this year, Kate Bush was honoured as an inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and with a nomination for the 2023 Ivor Novello Awards for songwriting.
