Kendrick Lamar pays tribute to Virgil Abloh in Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Week performance

Kendrick Lamar made a guest appearance at yesterday's (23rd June) Louis Vuitton Men's Spring/Summer 2023 fashion show in Paris.

At the event, which was part of Paris Fashion Week, Lamar performed the tracks 'Savior', 'Rich Spirit', 'Count Me Out' and 'N95' from his recently released album 'Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers'. He was seated, and wore a silver crown of thorns similar to the one that he dons on the cover for his new album, for the duration of the performance.

During the performance of 'N95', Lamar paid tribute to the late American fashion designer and entrepreneur Virgil Abloh, who was a creative director at Louis Vuitton and passed away from a rare form of cancer last year. Over the beat of the song, Lamar repeatedly chanted "long live Virgil".

The performance at the fashion show came ahead of Lamar's headline appearance at Glastonbury this Sunday, when he will close the Pyramid Stage.

You can watch the full Louis Vuitton show, including Lamar's performance, below. The tribute to Virgil Abloh happens at around the 25-minute mark.
