Kraftwerk nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

They’re up against Radiohead, Janet Jackson and more...

Kraftwerk have been named amongst the list of nominees to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame next year.

The nomination could make them the first electronic music act to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in its history.

They feature on the list alongside Radiohead, Janet Jackson, Roxy Music, Steve Nicks, The Cure, Def Leppard, Devo, LL Cool J, Rufus & Chaka Kahn, MC5, Rage Against The Machine, John Prine, Todd Rundgren and the Zombies.

Earlier this year, Nina Simone, Dire Straits, Bon Jovi, The Cars, The Moody Blues and Sister Rosetta Tharpe were all inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Earlier this year, Kraftwerk collaborated on a live performance with an astronaut based on the International Space Station.

The group also won a Grammy back in January for their LP, '3-D The Catalogue', which was recognised as the Best Dance/Electronic Album.
