dublab has developed custom fragrances designed to evoke classic albums by Prince, Kraftwerk, Alice Coltrane, Brian Eno, Nina Simone and more.

The independent LA-based radio station and platform collaborated with bighouse.xyz and The Institute for Art and Olfaction on the limited edition Nose Music box set, featuring ten scents that "reflect the spirit of a classic, groundbreaking album". The set includes perfume vials compliment albums like Fela Kuti's 'Upside Down', Alice Coltrane's 'World Galaxy', Prince's 'Purple Rain', Kraftwerk's 'Computer World', Brian Eno's 'Another Green World' and Nina Simone's 'Wild Is The Wind', as well as LPs by Stevie Wonder, The Velvet Underground & Nico, Os Mutantes and Augustus Pablo & King Tubby.

"Each scent was formulated to enhance the emotional experience of listening to its corresponding album", dublab wrote on Instagram. The box set's packaging displays the questions: "Have you stopped to smell the music?" and "What does music smell like?"

Each featured album and scent is accompanied by a new, custom artwork by the likes of Chris Johanson & Joanna Jackson, Eboy, Fernanda Cohen, Frohawk Two Feathers, Tokio Aoyama and more.

The Nose Music box set is an edition of 200, costing $200. Find more information on the Big House shop

Last year, LA-based fragrance brand, Discothèque, created a range of luxury scented candles inspired by the "unique atmosphere and cultural signifiance" of iconic nightclubs.

The story of dublab's two-decade-plus history, evolution and impact was explored in the 2023 book Dublab: From the Archives of Future Roots Radio.
