LP Giobbi launches new Defected imprint Yes Yes Yes, announces EP

LP Giobbi has launched her new Yes Yes Yes imprint with Defected Records, and announced a new EP, ‘Time Expands’, out later this month on the label. 

Arriving on 29th September, the record features original vocals from the DJ, producer, and pianist for the first time. The project inspired her to create a new experimental outlet for her releases. The new imprint will be part of Defected Records family of labels, where LP Giobbi recently debuted with her June single, ‘Giodisco’.

Speaking of the launch of Yes Yes Yes, LP Giobbi said: “This label is not beholden to one genre or one particular sound. It’s simply about good dance music, made for the dancefloor that expands your mind and makes you feel good.”

Defected CEO Wez Saunders added, “LP Giobbi is one of the most exciting talents of recent times – a fantastic DJ, pianist and producer, LP will now be supported by the Defected infrastructure as A&R with the launch of her new Yes Yes Yes label.”

Alongside launching the imprint, the piano house titan has also announced a series of Yes Yes Yes after parties in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Toronto and Chicago as part of her Light Places album tour. Check out the full list of parties below.

After kicking off the tour in Santa Fe, New Mexico on 9th November, LP will perform in Arizona and Colorado, before touching down in Washington D.C. to headline DJ Mag’s Best Of North America tour party on 17th November. Giobbi – who won Best Producer at the 2023 awards – will perform at the Soundcheck club as part of the three-date run, with support on the night set to be announced at a later date.

LP Giobbi’s non-profit organisation FEMME HOUSE will be hosting free Intro to Ableton production workshops prior to each tour date on the tour. Free tickets to the sessions are available to reserve here.
