Michael Bibi has confirmed he is cancer free after six months of treatment.

The Solid Grooves founder announced the news last night (5th December) in an Instagram post, writing, “After 6 months of fighting I leave hospital officially in remission with no cancer in my body.”

He added: “To every person that sent me the support, energy & strength to fight I thank you from the bottom of my heart & to the staff @royalmarsden for literally saving my life I will forever be in your debt. Thank you so much.”

The DJ and producer, 33, also posed for pictures with staff at The Royal Marsden’s Oak Cancer Centre in London, hugging the nurses before his departure.

This past June, Bibi revealed his diagnosis of CNS Lymphoma, a rare form of brain and spinal cancer. After completing his “main” round of treatment in late September, he made a surprise appearance at Ibiza’s DC-10 to play a set for the first time since his diagnosis.

Yesterday’s remission announcement follows a bone marrow/stem cell transplant Bibi received last month. “I’m still very tired, I’m on a lot of meds, my body hurts & my hairs all gone...” the artist shared, “but I’m excited to get home, process, heal & prepare for the future with you all.”
