Native Instruments celebrate 25 years with limited edition hardware

The Berlin-based music company has also released a new free plugin

Music production and DJ company Native Instruments has celebrated 25 years with a release of limited edition hardware controllers. The birthday is also being celebrated with a new free plugin called TWENTY FIVE. There are six limited edition bits of hardware in total with Ultraviolet and Vapor Gray versions of Maschine+, Maschine Mk3, Komplete Kontrol S49/S61, Traktor Kontrol S4 and Traktor Kontrol X1. Each has been hand-numbered and has a new reflective graphic commemorating NI’s anniversary.

TWENTY FIVE is a Kontakt 6 instrument with samples from 37 instruments across NI’s history, including pianos from Kontakt, ‘hidden gems’ from Reaktor and various other instruments and FX. The plug also features built-in macros for more in-depth control and a sequencer for triggering notes and sounds from within the app.

NI CEO Constantin Köhncke said: “We’re extremely proud of what we have accomplished over the past 25 years. None of this would have been possible without the dedication, passion, and ingenuity of every member of the NI team, both past and present, and – most importantly – our community of creators who have used our products and innovations to create countless contributions to music culture.”

Users can also win a range of the new hardware as part of a competition to make a track using the new plug TWENTY FIVE on NI's own MetaPop platform.
