A new documentary about the Newcastle DIY club and community space, Cobalt Studios, is now available to watch online.
To The Dancers: Blood, Sweat & Music is directed by Susie Davies, who was behind the 2021 film about the '90s free party and warehouse scene in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, The Kick, The Snare, The Hat & A Clap.
This new documentary shines a light on the non-profit Cobalt Studios in the northeast of the city, which houses a co-working space as well as a venue and cultural space.
The film explores the "universal power of music and dance to protect and transform communities" and the challenges faced by the founders in light of increasing gentrification and Brexit.
