A new listening bar has opened in Paris, Jean-Louis La Nuit

Antinote label head Zaltan and Casa Voyager's OCB will guest at a series of listening sessions

Paris has a new listening bar.

Jean Louis La Nuit is now open in the first arrondissement and comes complete with a Harmony 5001 analogue soundsystem. Originally designed in the 1980s by French sound designers AESD, the system has been developed and updated for the present day by the team around the venue.

"The music that has accompanied you over the last 40 years is transformed," Jean-Louis La Nuit director Damien has said. "What you thought was your music becomes a new story — we are bringing a culture of high-fidelity to Parisians."

The bar will open from Wednesdays until Saturdays from 6PM until 4AM. Gabriel of D.KO Records has been enlisted to curate a series of special listening sessions, and has invited Antinote label head Zaltan as well as Casa Voyager producer OCB to play at the bar amongst others.

Find out more via the bar's Facebook page.

Paris' dance music scene was recently knocked by the closure of Smallville's record shop and much-loved club Concrete.
